Phase II Investigations
Phase II investigations consist of assessments to evaluate the presence of hazardous materials in the subsurface soil and groundwater. California Environmental pioneered the use of soil vapor surveys in southern California during 1986 while evaluating a State of California superfund site. California Environmental regularly uses soil vapor surveys, fixed gas analyses, shallow borings, hand auger testholes, field geophysics and other methods to properly assess a site for the possible presence of underground waste, underground storage tanks, vapor intrusion, and other environmental concerns. One aspect of California Environmental’s experience with Phase II investigations is that regardless of the professional assigned to execute the field work, all subsurface investigations are managed by the principal of the firm.
